judge a book cover: part two

So uh, book covers are great, but so are redesigned book covers!

Coralie Bickford-Smith is amazing.

"Coralie Bickford-Smith is a senior cover designer at Penguin Books,
where she has created several series designs. She studied typography
at Reading university and has recently been sharing her experience with
students at London College of Communication encouraging a sense
of play in the process of design."

Just take a look at some of her amazingness.
This is a series of classic Penguin books she took on. They don't rely on the dust jackets, which I love. The designs are printed right into the hardcovers. These patterns are fun and classic but the color pallete is undeniably modern and I'm smitten.
