I learned to crochet via you tube videos, in order to make cowls for myself as well!

If you 'hook' up with someone who has knitting experience it is much easier to get started and support you as you go along!

I agree with Anonymous. I have to ask my mother in law about every other year to show me again. It's easy though especially something like that. You'll do superbly! Superbly? Is that a word?

Have you learned yet? I bought some needles and yarn a couple months ago. They've just kicked around in my car because I haven't had time to find someone to teach me slash go back to the place I bought them from and have them teach me.
