tonsillectomy treasures for you

I've been a big fat blogging slacker. So here is.....

I got my tonsils out! I'm on day 6 of recovery, and I must say it's not as bad as I was thinking it would be! I hope it doesn't get much worse. I hear day 6 or 7 is the worst. I also hear it doesn't get less painful until your "scabs" come off. Mine have yet to come off. So.. we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

First of all, I was so SO so SO anxious about this. This. Thing. Endevour... To better my health. My dad was good about reminding me that it'll help me in the long run, and that's why I was doing it. Not just fer fun. But it's turning out to be rather bearable.

I have awesome people around me. Without them this whole tonsillectomy thing would be about a million times worse. Seriously. Lortab and my amazing family and friends have saved my life the past 6 days. I love you! You know who you are. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you Dad, for giving me a Father's Blessing!

If you watch Glee, you'll get a kick out of this video. Even if you don't, my voice is so funny.

I could write out a big long post about this, but I think I'll just keep it to a consice list. Everyone loves a good list.

1. I have a new appreciation for food. Regular old every day food. Everyone out there have a delicious meal for me. Your favorite, hottest, crunchiest meal. Do it!

2. My breath is rank. I gargled saltwater last night (it came right out my nose, by the way) and it helped for... a few minutes. I'm sorry to everyone around me! Ah! I can't help it! Brushing only does so much... Anyway, it's gross.

3. I don't "snore" anymore! Hooray! My mom told me so.

4. I can't wait till I have the energy to get myself ready every day. I've been lounging around in my pajamas with zero makeup and my hair looks like straw. Haha. Basically, I'm looking great. But I'm gonna be looking better soon. And I'm pretty excited about it. Energy is a rare commodity for me these days. I can walk around and move things around for a few minutes, but that's about it.

5. I love sleeping, napping, resting my eyes, and generally being lazy. Floating in and out of conciousness on Lortab is just one of the greatest things ever. Maybe I'll wake up feeling rested from now on! I had obstructive sleep apnea with my tonsils in place, and I could never get enough sleep. We'll see what happens after I'm back to normal.

6. I can't wait to siiiiiiiiing! Get my voice back in shape. Ah yes!

7. I love my amazing Mama! She is wonderwoman!

Well, I'm on my fourth episode of Gossip Girl with Missy, and I gotta pay attention. (All these beautiful people with their beautiful hair... Sheesh.) I hope everyone is having a great day and don't forget to eat your favorite meal for me!

PS: I almost posted pictures of my tonsils for you, but some people think it's extremely gross, so.. I didn't. But they were huge. Trust me.
Also, my bike has been finished for a while now, I just haven't taken beautiful pictures of it yet. Don't worry! It's coming soon!

Oh wow! I hope everything heals up well and soon. I'm not sure what "scabs come off" means, but I hope this happens quickly and painlessly. You look beautiful as always, laying in a hospital bed... it's just not fair. But really, I hope everyting goes well and I hope you get to eat whatever you want as soon as possible! Love you!
