Missy, Berkeley, and I went to the Taylor Swift concert on Tuesday, and
boy-howdy! was it sweet!
If you're like me, you've noticed that her performances in the past have been a little... lackluster. But I am now happy to inform you all that she has IMPROVED greatly. Yeeee!
It was a birthday present for Missy back in April when we bought the tickets, and we got great ones. I'm talkin' fourth row. As Missy said, "I coulda spit on her if I wanted." But of course we didn't do any such thing. She (Taylor herself) made eye contact with us crazy girls a few times and her wicked awesome guitar player gave Missy an "ILoveYou" hand sign after she gave one to him. (Red jacket.)
The set was great. Her band was great. The costumes were great. It. Was. Great.
Oh yeah! She distracted the audience with a little video, and when she came back out she was IN the audience.
So cool. And her finale was sa-weet. Let's just say it involved a sheet of water that shaped itself into the lyrics of the song. Highly enjoyable and entertaining. I'm so glad Missy got to see her twin in concert.
