I realized I haven't done much in the way of a journaling post lately, so I thought I'd copy in two of my most recent journal entries. Just because. I don't know why, really. Probably because I like to read other people's journalings.
Friday.
I'm feeling rather happy and inspired right now. Ah.. Such a great feeling. Why don't I feel this way all the time? Silly me.
Missy's (and mine too) friend Berkeley wants to go to Dixie State next year and there is a scholorship she's hoping to get. She needed to make a video about herself and send it to Dixie. So, she did and Missy edited it for her. She's such a great girl. (Missy and Berkeley both are, but I meant Berkeley) I really should do a "beautiful girls" on her.**
After much study and toil, I took my second first Art History test. Last semester it was my first Art History TO the Renaissance test, and today was my first Art History FROM the Renaissance. Wow, I don't like tests. But Courtney seems like a fair grader and she IS an excellent teacher. She reminds me of Elle Woods, from Legally Blonde. She is this cute, bubbly girl who decided one day, "I think I should take the bar exam to become a lawyer." and passed. And became one, only to discover she would rather get her teaching degree in something she loved. Art History.
So the test I've been muchly anxious about is over! I did the best I could, and I hope/think I did pretty well. Not 100 percent. But well. After Berkeley's movie was done, and Missy and I took our respective tests at the testing center, we drove down to the brand new (and smelling of poopy plastic) theater by the mall to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was so good! I really wasn't expecting greatness, but it kept a great pace, the jokes were actually funny, and to top it all off it was squeaky clean! No nasty scenes to be found. Ah.. I love it when the world doesn't make me feel guilty about enjoying a movie.
Then, just now I revisited a new blog discovery: Color Me Katie. I want to be more like Katie. She is so happy and creative and friendly and spunky. I love it. That is why I blog-surf. To be inspired and motivated to be better.
So here I am at the end of the day in my grey tank top (an article I don't usually wear, but I'm feeling sporty), sitting on my bed with Daisy who's snoozin, wanting to smile more, laugh more, and enjoy more. Good day.
Today.
I just "finished" my first section of a type journal we need to make in typography. That was intense. Sifting through thousands of fonts for hours upon hours was not very fun. Then again, it reminds me of explications, which reminds me of english honors, which reminds me of Mr. Downs. Good times! At least it's done! Phew, that's all I can say.
Well, I'm getting my tell-tale sign of stress: a cold sore. And my hands are shaking from trying to be so precise tracing the type. I need to plug my ear buds in, listen to Melissa, John, and Sue (And Frak, meh...) on Pottercast, and EAT ME SOME FOOD!

PS: The critique today went much better than the last. The class and teach actually liked it!

PPS: The family went to the cabin over the 3 day weekend and on the second day, I noticed my happiness high had faded a little, and I sure felt the difference. I don't like feeling all serious and sad. It's totally my choice, and I love feeling like I did on Friday night. I feel like I have more energy when I choose to be happy, and hey, if I'm happy I might just get a great, happy guy's attention! I even saw in the Mt. Pleasant pharmacy, a book by a dating teacher from BYU, that the formula for attraction is ACT. A=animate (which includes smiling), C=closeness, and T=touch. Sounds a little scandalous, but I've never been a flirt, so I need lessons. Haha.
Also, Stephanie is an awesome little photographer, she took that amazing picture of Daisy! I can't wait to see what she does when she gets into a photo class next year!
PPPS: Christine sent me a Valentine's Day card of her and her current companion. She is so on top of things. I need to write that girl!
