Missy, Gavin, and I went to Park City on Monday for the Sundance Film Festival! I'll tell you the story through pictures. Of course.
We drove ourselves with the help of Maggie (Mom's Magellan GPS) to Park City... Although, we made many u-turns because Maggie didn't know about closed roads. Anyway, we arrived, parked, and took the shuttle to Eccles Theater, where we hoped to get wait-list tickets for Adventureland.

We waited for about 45 minutes outside, where the shadows were slowly creeping and freezing us.
Then the festival workers let us inside a very dark and very scary cave...
Where we waited.
And waited.
And finally got our numbers, which we would use to see about an hour and a half from then if we could get into the show.
Then we were free to explore!
Yummy, yummy dinner sandwiches were eaten at Main Street Pizza and Noodle!

Then we walked, almost the entire way back to Eccles. A trek that gave: me a massive blister which still stings as I type this, and Missy two sore elbows and one sore back from slipping on the ice that was the sidewalk. Gavin, I don't think, suffered any injury.
We finally caught up to a shuttle that was stuck in traffic and boarded just in time to make it back to the cave ten minutes late. (Luckily, this wasn't too big of a deal, because we got to line up in numerical order!) We waited and waited some more... Finally they called out that 25 tickets were being sold. (We were numbers 53, 54 and 55.) Then we waited and they announced again that 25 more tckets were being sold. And sadly, that was it. We didn't make it in.. It was a big mess of a wait-list line because numbers 48, 49, and 50 didn't get in either because they actually only sold 49 tickets.
We waited, we walked, we ate, and had an adventure. Moral of the story: the Sundance Film Festival, for civilians, is a big game of chance, so if you go, just know that and have fun even if you don't get in to any movies!
Because I know you're wondering... we did see some movie stars!
We saw Joseph and Zooey giving an interveiw for their movie, 500 Days of Summer. I love them! Didn't get to talk to them, though. We saw Cedric as we were leaving the restaurant. I didn't think to say anything to him, so I just smiled as we were walking. I think we should have talked to him, cause he looked really friendly and had cool glasses. And we possibly saw

going into John Krasinksi's film,
Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. But we're not sure.

That was, quite the day. And your depiction of it left nothing untold. Other than that mean awful girl who tried to make us go to the back of the line.
Allie! Hey its Diana Winkleman, now Smith...lol so confusing sorry. You are so cute! I love your blog, love it. What kinda camera do you use by the way? I just bought a Canon Eos Xsi. I love it! Well hope to talk to you soon.
I caught up on your blog, it seems like I've only missed a few days, but obviously more. I love listening to rain also, I love your type self portrait, I'm glad you showed the close up of the lips so cool. Your experience at the Sundance film festival is hilarious, I'm sad for you guys that you didn't get to see anything, I know you still had fun though. I love your new do, it's so pretty, you look pretty whatever color your hair is. Love you BIG KISS!
Have to say, I had no idea that Sundance was that crazy! I've always wanted to go, but I'd probably freeze to death while waiting.
Love the pictures, though! Glad y'all had fun.
