This is Lucy. She comes from a long line of wild cats that live outside our shop. We're thinking her mama came inside to have a bunch of kittens, and left! Lucy somehow stayed behind and Mom & Dad heard her meowing one day from one of her many hiding places. They left open cans of tuna for her, which she ate super fast. Very stealthily of course, because they never actually saw her. All she would do was meow and hide, but slowly we started to see her little head pop out when we would "talk" to her.
These days she comes out to play if you meow (and some food or a toy helps). She loves Stephanie. It was so cute - the other day Steph and Lucy were just sitting on the floor together while Lucy ran her head and back under Steph's hand. She even rolled over once. Anyway, I think it's so cool that a wild cat can trust us enough to let us pet her and play with her. She's still really wild though. You can tell in the way she eats, like she's not going to eat again for a week, and she gets scared and hides a lot still. But she's a cutie and little ray of sunshine at work.
